A Pobco innovation has been the introduction of patented Guide Rails with 1/4" or 3/8" diameter 304 stainless steel (or carbon steel) rod encapsulated in UHMW polyethylene plastic.  These are Sanitary, very strong and durable, and yet flexible enough to allow for hand bending.  They are also designed to fit existing guide rail brackets and compression clips.  Pobco also provides plastic rails designed to slide over 3/8" stainless steel or carbon steel rod.  The cost saving advantage of this is that the rod or bottom plate can be re-used when the plastic is replaced.

Rectangular and Curved Wear Strip

Pobco produces all of the most commonly used wear strip shapes and sizes utilized by manufacturers of conveying and other linear motion equipment.  By significantly reducing friction, Pobco wear strip allows increased operating speeds while eliminating production down-time due to jamming or machine damage.

POBCO-B self-lubricating hardwood wear strip is famous for its excellent service and durability, and is available in 5 and 10 Ft. lengths.   Pobco wear strip is also supplied in a variety of plastic materials.

Roll End Bearings

Pobco roll end bearings are available for virtually all tubing, pipe and shaft sizes to meet standard or custom design requirements.  Though round shafting is normally used, hex shaft adapters are available.  The bearings are supplied in a variety of plastics, as well as in self-lubricating hard wood.  In manufacturing applications, hardwood bearings render a greater speed/load capability, have a lower wear rate factor, and are less costly than most plastic bearings.

Hanger Bearings

Screw conveyors often handle abrasive, corrosive materials, and their hanger bearings are often not accessible to lubrication.  POBCO-B hardwood and POBCO Plastic hanger bearings enable maintenance free operation in this application environment through their advantages of self-lubrication, low coefficient of friction, low wear rate, non-contamination, high resistance to abrasion and quiet operation.
